What’s smaller than a MacBook and bigger than an iTouch?
*From CNN.com, “Fantasy features of an apple tablet”
Rumors are spreading that Apple is looking to break into the Netbook market and get their slice of the craze. CNN.com writer Erica Ogg provides her own list on how-to make a successful Apple Tablet PC, which include having a clear purpose, be thin and light and all be at an affordable price, none of which are small feats. What will you want your dream Apple NetBook to have? Let us know!

A MacBook Air. It’s hella expensive for its performance but is not too much larger than many netbooks and is really amazing. I’m a Mac guy. Have a new (unibody) MacBook Pro 15″, the older 17″ and a MacBook Air. Have to say I love all of them.
I think a successful platform for apple to launch a netbook would still include a price premium over the competitors. Essentially, they could make a 10″ or so MacBook Air and put lesser performing components inside. Instead of a $200-400 price tag, I would like to see something around the ballpark of $500. It would offer solid build quality, a similar design to the macbook air and performance below the Air but a bit superior of the average netbook. Another important feature would be a good display as has been tradition with Apple. Perhaps one on par with the standard MacBook. If you take a look at the various Mac displays the MacBook Pros have gorgeous displays (hi-def or not) that are only slightly superior to the MacBook Air. The MacBook’s display is still good when compared to laptops but inferior when compared to the Pro and Air. That is where I envision the netbook to be.
