Well the list speaks for itself, with some movies grossing as low as $19,000 opening weekend. Yes! i said $19,000 only. Some of them even had HUGE actors and actresses involved. Jon Voight made the list with a movie that will leave you asking “What was his movie agent thinking?”

Paramount’s action sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” capped its dramatic debut with a vengeance, ringing up $112 million in estimated weekend boxoffice for a competition-crunching domestic cume of $201.2 million since storming theaters Wednesday.

Matched against the first five days of all previous film releases, the “Transformers” tally falls below only that of last summer’s “The Dark Knight,” which debuted with $203.8 million during a Friday-to-Tuesday span. With another $181.6 million coming from overseas, the global gross for the second “Transformers” now stands at $363.2 million.

Produced by Paramount, DreamWorks and Hasbro, “Transformers” hauled in at least $25 million more through Sunday than most had anticipated. The session’s other wide opener — Warner Bros.’ drama “My Sister’s Keeper,” starring Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin and Alex Baldwin — bowed in fifth place on the lower end of forecasts with $12 million since unspooling Friday.

Ben Stiller defeated Christian Bale in a shocking opening weekend matchup.  All critics preferred Terminator Salvation as Museum came out the wood works and took the first place position in weekend sales numbers.

According to Yahoo Movies, The 20th Century Fox comedy “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” sold $53.5 million worth of tickets during the three days beginning Friday, far exceeding the $30.4 million debut of its 2006 predecessor.

“Terminator Salvation” earned $43.0 million. The film fell short of the $44 million start for the previous entry in the cyborg series, 2003’s “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” the swan song of franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger.

OUR ANGELS AND DEMONS REVIEW

Angels and Demons is definitely a movie to watch but get ready to never miss a part because you will definitely get lost and fall behind if you arrive late or go to the restroom once.  You could literally need questions answered if you stepped out for 30 seconds and stepped back into the movie theater.  Use the restroom and buy all your popcorn, hot dogs and Skittles before stepping in, because once the movie starts, it will be one hell of a ride until the very end!

One of the most anticipated summer Blockbusters of 2009 will hit theaters on May 8, 2009.  I fortunately had the chance to view it first (for you guys!), coming into the theater completely anti-Star anything, but boy did I change my mind after this one…

The latest edition to the cult classic, was directed by J.J. Abrams (Executive Producer of LOST).  Now let me tell you, I’m absolutely LOVING the new direction of this movie.  If you thought that Star Trek was only for nerds, geeks, dorks, and dweebs…THINK AGAIN!!! First off, this movie was HILLARIOUS.  Second of all, the way they made everyone seem so regular and normal gave it somewhat of a relevance to us.  Even if they lived in a world far far away, they were still going through problems that us everyday human beings go through on the regular.

This movie was FANTASTIC at keeping the attention of the audience.  When it comes to the storyline, it was great as expected.  The movie is a prequel of sorts to the films beforehand.  The movie begins with the birth of James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and continues to tell you how things develop in the universe.  A black hole, some time travel, and a few Romulans later and you are left in AMAZEMENT on how you just thought that this movie was the coolest thing ever.  You can now say that I am definitely a Trekkie.

It seems as if Jason Bourne still is not content with the memory he has regained thus far.  He will continue on his path to find himself in 2011 (a year after what was projected) and we can only predict on what will happen next in the series!
