Good producers and hot beats are hard to come by these days. You wouldn’t need to go out West to find one however. In fact, you don’t need to leave College Park at all. UMD’s own Tobi Smith a.k.a. DJ Task of T.A.S.K. Productions is undoubtedly one of the most talented producers right now. The guy is good, and as in good, I mean fire! Tobi developed his own production style from the foundation set by producers like Just Blaze, Kanye West, and the Alchemist as well as the producers of the golden era of hip hop who greatly influenced him. With that style he established T.A.S.K. Productions, his label and production company.
Tobi hosts his own radio show, called “FlyBoyRadio”, on UMD’s own WMUCRadio 88.1FM. The show comes on every Sunday from 3-6pm on 88.1FM College Park and worldwide on WMUCradio.com. Check it out while your doing homework or at diner.
