On the 12th of November, WMUC’s own FlyBoyRadio Conglomerate is hosting UMD’s College Night at the Coco Cabana. Best believe this will be the PARTY OF THE SEMESTER! Come out to the Coco Cabana and party at a venue much better than Cornerstone or Bentley’s. The venue is 5 minutes from campus.

Early in the night there will be live entertainment with special performances from 3 great bands: The Five One Band (Rock & Alternative), Black Diamond (Hip-Hop/R&B/Neo Soul), & Sugar Junkie (Electro-Funk-SexBand (As they like to call it)). When the live performances are over DJ Uneek will be rocking the party till 2am.

Shuttles will be leaving from campus.

Doors open at 9PM, admission is $5.

There will be drink specials all night and a bus leaving from campus. Everyone is invited, its 18+.

FlyBoy Radio’s very own host Tobi Smith AKA “DJ T.A.S.K.”, interviewed the RouteOneForLife team on Sunday May 3 in the University of Maryland College Park Radio station WMUC 88.1FM. (LISTEN TO INTERVIEW BELOW)

The team answered questions about the website’s mission (as many critics are still acting confused and we don’t know why), questions about how to join the team if you are interested, and the theme song which would be debuted on the radio show within the next two weeks so keep listening every Sunday between 3 and 6pm to hear the great new “Route One For Life” theme song performed by the brand new sensation out of College Park, URBAN CARTEL. We should be posting up something on them really soon.

Good producers and hot beats are hard to come by these days. You wouldn’t need to go out West to find one however. In fact, you don’t need to leave College Park at all. UMD’s own Tobi Smith a.k.a. DJ Task of T.A.S.K. Productions is undoubtedly one of the most talented producers right now. The guy is good, and as in good, I mean fire! Tobi developed his own production style from the foundation set by producers like Just Blaze, Kanye West, and the Alchemist as well as the producers of the golden era of hip hop who greatly influenced him. With that style he established T.A.S.K. Productions, his label and production company.

Tobi hosts his own radio show, called “FlyBoyRadio”, on UMD’s own WMUCRadio 88.1FM. The show comes on every Sunday from 3-6pm on 88.1FM College Park and worldwide on WMUCradio.com. Check it out while your doing homework or at diner.
