After convincingly beating Cal on Thursday afternoon, our Terps “tried” valiantly to beat the #2 seed, Memphis Tigers.  Before the game, Vasquez opened his mouth as always and said that Memphis’ conference, Conference USA, was weaker than the ACC. Memphis went undefeated in their conference this year and currently have the nation’s longest winning streak. That just added fuel to the fire as Memphis crushed the Terps 89-70, sending our Terps home packing and Greivis back to CP to contemplate his draft position. At least we have the Lady Terps!

My man Terence Morris. He was a top-5 NBA prospect after his sophomore year in 1998-1999. He had His early years at Maryland reminded me of a former UMD player who was the first pick in the 1995 NBA Draft, Joe Smith. Unlike today’s basketball players, he actually cared about his education and stayed for two more years to get his degree. However, his skills didn’t progress and ended up being drafted 33rd overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2001. He jumped around the league for 5 years and now he’s hooping it up in Russia for CSKA Moscow. Who would’ve thought that he would go from top-5 prospect to disappearing to Europe in 5 years…….that’s sucks.
